HVAC Design Engineer
About the role
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to industrial projects across sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Data Center, Food, Daily Chemical, and New Energy facilities, both locally and internationally.
Responsibilities
Lead and support industrial projects both domestically and internationally.
Independently develop HVAC design deliverables for CD, BD, and DD phases, including but not limited to:
User Requirement Specifications (URS)
Load Calculations & Air Balance Calculations
Airflow & Instrument Diagrams
AHU Zoning Layouts
Pressurization Layouts
HVAC Design Reports
Duct Layouts
Technical Specifications
3D Modelling (Revit) or SketchUp
Detailed Drawings (Development/Review)
Shop Drawings (Development/Review)
Coordinate and/or manage LDI/PE/QP activities throughout design and project execution.
Support procurement activities, including:
BOQ preparation and value engineering
Preparation of tender documents
Technical bid evaluation and reporting
Review design submissions from consultants and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable standards, and local regulations.
Liaise with overseas stakeholders, project teams, vendors, and clients as required for project coordination and technical discussions.
Provide site construction support when required.
Support FM/LEED design consultancy tasks.
Requirements
Minimum 6 years of relevant HVAC design experience; candidates with over 10 years of experience are preferred.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, CFD, and other relevant engineering software.
Familiar with FDA/cGMP/ISO14644 standards and general engineering practices.
Knowledgeable in local building codes and international standards such as IBC, IMC, ASHRAE, etc.
Strong understanding of HVAC equipment and material selection.
Leadership experience is an advantage.
Good written and verbal English communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, vendors, consultants, or project teams across regional markets where Mandarin is commonly used.
Willing to travel for short-term business assignments (3–6 months).
