The Promontory Club is looking to fulfill a vacancy for a Facilities HVAC / Appliance Technician Full time
The Facilities HVAC / Appliance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, and repair of HVAC / appliance systems utilizing their technical knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts throughout the property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform service per manufactures specifications on commercial HVAC/appliance systems. Including rooftop systems, make-up-air units, exhaust fans, energy recovery systems, kitchen/equipment, boilers, pumps and most other HVAC systems.
- Ability to use and interpret, diagnostic and service equipment including but not limited to volt/ohm meter, amp clamp, manometer, vacuum gauges etc.
- Performs preventive maintenance on HVAC/appliances.
- Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
- Keeps current on operation, maintenance, service, and repair throughout.
- Provides additional technical support to department team members as needed.
- Maintain and repair commercial kitchen equipment e.g., fryers, ice makers, stove tops, refrigerators, walk-ins, etc.
- Repairs and installs appliances as needed with minimal supervision.
- Good working knowledge of specialty systems such as building automation, refrigerant flow, variable speed drives, snow melt, zoning controls.
- Assist and support team members in other areas as needed.
- Assist in other areas of general maintenance as needed.
- Good work ethic and the desire to advance both professionally and personally.
- Ability to get along with and work well with people on all levels.
- Demonstrate a willingness to continue education through available company and industry training.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures including Lock Out Tag Out program; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work practices to management.
- Other duties as assigned.
