ICT Support Technician

Totally Vets is a dynamic veterinary company and part of the wider Comhla Group, providing services and products across the Manawatu, Taumarunui and Tararua areas for companion animals, equine and production animals.


We are looking for an enthusiastic ICT Support Technician to join our team. In this varied, fast-paced role you will provide hands-on technical, administrative and systems support that keeps our people and clinics running smoothly – both onsite and remotely.


What you'll be doing

  • Providing onsite and remote helpdesk support to staff across our clinics, including regular clinic visits
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving hardware, software and network issues, and developing clear action plans
  • Building, repairing and installing computers, laptops, phones and peripherals, and integrating them into our network
  • Onboarding and offboarding employees, and maintaining end-user accounts and security across all platforms
  • Providing administrative support for Vision (Practice management system), SharePoint, Active Directory and Microsoft productivity applications
  • Assisting with day-to-day support of the Practice Management System
  • Establishing and reviewing written ICT procedures, templates and remote set-up processes
  • Providing simple data reports and ICT analysis to end users
  • Maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, external service providers and IT vendors


What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in an IT support or helpdesk role
  • General IT or computer science tertiary education, or equivalent training and experience
  • Sound knowledge of ICT equipment and application suites
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with a passion for customer service
  • Strong relationship-management and interpersonal skills
  • Well organised, detail-focused and able to meet deadlines, work under pressure and multi-task
  • A genuine advocate for technology who enjoys a varied environment, works well in a team (in person and remote), and knows when to seek assistance
  • A current full, clean NZ driver's licence
