Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Imaging Tech, you will perform a variety of advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures across diverse imaging modalities, under the general direction of departmental leadership.Every day, you will expertly operate complex imaging equipment, precisely execute imaging protocols, and meticulously monitor patients to ensure their safety and comfort throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures.To be successful in this role, you will skillfully produce high-quality diagnostic images, collaborate effectively with the medical team, and steadfastly advocate for patient safety and optimal outcomes within the imaging environment.
- Perform CT scans on patients according to physician orders.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions and respond promptly.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to obtain relevant clinical information for accurate image interpretation.
- Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Document and record patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system

Job Requirements
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a hospital and radiology department is required.
- Satisfactory completion of formal radiological technology training in an AMA-approved school or BS or AA degree in Radiological Technology in an AMA-approved school.
- Cross-training in CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Mammography is required.
- License is required as issued by ARRT (national), CRT (state), and Fluoroscopy certification.
- Certification in one modality is required.
- Fire Safety card. (must obtain within 90 days of start date)
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement.
