Capacity and process Development
Plan and assess the gap, implement & continually develop a manufacturing value addition flow with resources and innovative solutions (E.g. process change, CT reduction etc.) to meet technical capacity and customer requirements. Initiate change note for Tg rationalization projects to IE and Union.
Plant Manufacturing Capacity / Capability - TEK, CpK, Ergo, safety compliance to meet customer
requirements
Value stream Planning
Assess internal & external requirements (e.g. BU, Plant, VS, BP, customer), true north and VS vision, support in developing future state VSD with focus topics, collaborate with Cross Functional stake holders to identify, drive and implement projects to improve Value stream efficiency & achieve operational excellence.
KPI: Delivery performance, TRLT, MAE Utilization
Management of Production Processes
Implement customer specific and product requirements, establish/develop the processes (e.g. CpK study, PPAP, routing & ROS etc), controls to manage processes (e.g. FMEA, BBM process compass, WI, etc), methods to track & monitor customer requirements, reaction to non-conforming parts to
ensure defect free products.
KPI: Process Maturity Improvement
Cost Management and contingency planning
Estimate & propose budgets for planning periods to run operations, fulfil demands and execute development projects. Plan and implement VAO cost reduction projects to meet cost/pc. targets at VS level. Develop and implement actions & validate contingency plans to evaluate risk and ensure business continuity.
KPI:Cost/pc - VAO targets
Problem Solving
Initiate and execute solution to complex problem independently to improve VS performance. Contribute innovative solutions to Purchase organization for improve Material cost reduction projects (e.g MATATHON). Develop competencies at shopfloor on processes to promote problem solving using DOE (e.g.Shainin)
KPI: No. of Implemented projects (shainin, MAT)
Audit and Assessments
Ensure successful completion of audit for Sub VS as per process landscape: IATF, PS/QMM1, internal and other external audits like customer audits, extended work bench
KPI: Conformance to Audits (internal & External), No. of nonconformity
Change Initiatives & project Management
Implement approved projects in collaboration with VSO to improve VS Efficiency and effectiveness. Develop project charter and project management plan, coordinate, drive and implement project plan in collaboration with cross functional teams to enable business growth.
KPI: No. of breakthrough projects implemented (design/process innovation)
Education:
Bachelors degree in engineering (Mech, EEE, ECE or IP)
Certification in Quality Management, Statistical tools, Operations management, Data Analytics, Agile methodology (Desirable)
Experience:
Min 5 years of process planning activities in Auto component manufacturing industry
Hands on experience in Core processes Like Honing, Grinding, lapping, Torquing, ECM, Cleaning laser technology etc
Knowledge:
- Competent knowledge of the manufacturing process and MAE, Grinding, Cleaning, measuring & testing equipment
- Competent knowledge in IE techniques, GD&T
- Advanced knowledge in Statutory, Organization Regulations, Product liability, Compliance & Risk
Management - Advance knowledge in Project management, Production monitoring system (MES, MAS, i4.0
solutions) - Advance knowledge in Data analytics & Data Visualization (Power BI, Tableau)
Functional skills:
- Competent in the use of AIAG Core tools - PFMEA,Control Plan, WI, Engineering change management
- Competent in Statistical evaluation tools & Problem Solving - Shainin, 8D
- Basic skill in operating key machines & test equipment
- Competent in lean manufacturing techniques (Bosch Production system) Standards - Basics, LBP,
LLB, PGL, LLD - Advance skill in Agile Methodology
- Advance skills in using myMeasure (Bosch internal tools)
The purpose of this position is to translate deployed strategy, business objectives, requirements from customers, stakeholders as well as standards and regulatory requirements into technical inputs to establish value stream capable of fulfilling needs of customer and stake holder expectations, conforming to standards & guidelines as well as continuously enhancing value stream efficiency & effectiveness and achieve operational excellence.
