About the role


As an Inclusive Education Practitioner, you must ensure the effective planning and implementation of individual/group sessions and activities according to set standards and criteria. They shall work closely with the Programme Manager, and other professionals to ensure good practice in the service the department provides.


What you'll be doing


  • Develop knowledge in the field they are working in by attending relevant educational institutions and/or training programmes as required, including but not limited to, attending joint sessions with therapists at Inspire or elsewhere.
  • Ensure a good quality service delivery; working towards and implementing best practice methods depending on the client group, including, but not limited to the TEACCH method and SPELL framework.
  • Work towards and implement best practice methods that meet NAS Accreditation and ISO certification standards where applicable.
  • Address parents’ concerns through appropriate methods of feedback, and to seek advice when necessary.
  • Provide feedback to parents after the delivery of session/intervention informing them of their child’s performance in relation to the objectives being worked on and passing on any resources/recommendations to ensure continuity of care across all settings.
  • Administer assessments to clients and the development of goals.
  • Prepare reports and participate in annual reviews for allocated clients.
  • Develop ‘positive behaviour support plans’ where applicable and ensure the dissemination of these documents to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Upkeep of the clients’ files whilst ensuring that any other forms such as student profiles, weekly and monthly planning sheets, data collection regarding clients’ performance, client attendances, etc. are completed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor sessions as part of the ongoing evaluation of the clients’ progress.
  • Prepare equipment/materials/resources and the delivery of individual sessions.
  • Assist colleagues in the preparation for extra-curricular activities and follow recommendations to limit any possible risks.
  • Attend school visits and maintain documentation regarding school visits, IEP’s, and MAPS sessions where and as needed.
  • Keep updated about the curriculum being followed at school and make this accessible to the clients.
  • Actively participate in all sessions carried out in different environments including the Multisensory Rooms, the pool, the Therapeutic Horseback Riding area amongst others.


What we're looking for


As part of the STEP Beyond Programme, you will work with children aged 6 to 9 years, delivering engaging and meaningful sessions designed to support their development. The programme focuses on providing a variety of activities that promote social communication, literacy skills, and overall inclusion in a supportive learning environment.

Working Hours:

  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
  • 09:40 – 18:10

Qualifications & Experience


The ideal candidate should be in possession of the following:


  • A recognized ‘Qualification’ at MQF Level 6 in Psychology/ Education or in a relevant health & social science.
  • Previous experience in a similar setting or in a relevant field (preference will be given to candidates exposed to autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
  • High proficiency in English language (C1 Level) (both spoken and written).

OR

  • A recognized ‘Qualification’ at a minimum MQF Level 6.
  • A minimum of 12 months experience working in one of Inspire's Education Programmes including LinC, SOP, STEP IEI, STEP Forward and STEP Beyond.
  • High proficiency in English language (C1 Level) (both spoken and written).
