What you will do

• Monitor Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders pipeline

• Execute timely procurement of required goods and services

• Assign purchases to the appropriate buying channel

• Request new vendor registrations through designated tools

• Support End-Users with claims handling

• Proactively identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase process efficiency and compliance

• Closely cooperate with business stakeholders and various UPM teams

• Prepare and deliver trainings, reports and analyses based on business needs

• Contribute to and participate in development projects

• Ensure compliance with UPM internal controls, business rules, policies and legal requirements

• Demonstrate a service-oriented mindset, strong communication and self-leadership skills while leveraging process analytics tools (e.g., Celonis) to drive continuous improvement, support change management and enhance operational performance

Who you are

• You hold at least a bachelor’s degree or other relevant professional qualifications in a related area

• You have at least 3 years of work experience in the procurement area

• You are comfortable working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, SAP Ariba)

• You are fluent in English; knowledge of Finnish would be an asset

• You are proactive person with great communication and interaction abilities

• You have good collaboration and team-working skills with flexible and positive attitude towards changes

• You possess effective self-management skills and are willing to take initiative and seek improvement

• You value diversity and value different perspectives

• You have experience working in a global organization (considered an asset)
