Infant Educator
We're looking for a warm, attentive, and dedicated Infant Educator who understands that the earliest months of a child's life are profoundly important — and who brings both skill and genuine care to each day.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Child safety and supervision
Maintain close, attentive supervision of each infant at all times — in the classroom, play areas, and throughout the school — so every child feels safe and secure.
- Infant care routines
Carry out daily routines — including feeding (milk and solids), diapering, bathing, hand washing, napping, and transitions between activities — promptly, hygienically, and in line with best practices for infant development.
- Planning meaningful activities
Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that nurture infants' sensory, motor, social, and cognitive development — such as tummy time, sensory play, music and movement, and responsive one-on-one interactions.
- Observation and developmental tracking
Observe each infant regularly and thoughtfully, monitoring their developmental progress across key domains — and using those insights to inform your planning and support each child's individual growth journey.
- Documentation and daily journals
Maintain accurate daily journals capturing feeds (milk and solids), diapering, sleep, and mood — tailored to each infant's age and needs. Detailed, thoughtful records help families stay informed and support continuity of care.
- Child portfolios
Build and maintain a portfolio for each child that celebrates their milestones, captures meaningful learning moments, and provides families with a tangible record of their little one's growth and development.
- Family and stakeholder relationships
Build genuine, trusting relationships with parents and caregivers — communicating openly about each child's day, their progress, and any concerns, so families always feel connected and confident in their child's care.
