Job Description – Informatica Developer (Netezza)

Position: Informatica Developer
Experience: 6+ Years
Location: Pune
Work Mode: 5 Days Work From Office

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Informatica Developer with strong expertise in ETL development, data integration, and data warehousing using Informatica PowerCenter and Netezza. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and optimizing ETL processes while working closely with business and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Develop and optimize data integration solutions involving Netezza databases.
  • Create mappings, mapplets, workflows, sessions, and reusable ETL components.
  • Analyze source-to-target mapping documents and implement ETL solutions.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting of ETL processes.
  • Optimize ETL jobs and SQL queries for improved performance.
  • Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and application teams.
  • Support production deployments and resolve ETL-related issues.
  • Ensure adherence to data quality, governance, and security standards.
  • Prepare technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.

Required Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in Informatica PowerCenter development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM Netezza.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning.
  • Experience in Data Warehousing concepts, ETL design, and data modeling.
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting.
  • Experience in handling large-volume data loads and performance optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Informatica IICS.
  • Knowledge of scheduling tools such as Control-M or Autosys.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an added advantage.
