The annual salary range for a GS-11 is $75,278 to $97,867 The annual salary range for a GS-12 is $89,508 to $116,362 If you are a new federal employee, the starting salary will be at Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. If selected for this position, you will serve as a district Information Technology (IT) Specialist responsible for providing technical and analytical assistance involving three or more IT specialty areas which support the information management needs of the United States Attorney's Office (USAO). Typical work assignments will include: Providing customer service technical assistance and support for users. Assisting customers by recognizing and analyzing trends and providing instructions. Analyzing, managing, and directing installation of any new hardware and software introduced into the environment to ensure its compatibility with existing architecture, its reliability, and functionality in relation to the organization's business requirements. Performing system audits to assess security parameters and performance of AI controls within the network environment utilizing network hardware and software capabilities. Maintaining and controlling district's computer equipment inventory. Ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools. Promoting awareness of security issues among management and employees. Implementing programs to ensure users are aware of, understand and adhere to systems security policies and procedures. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
