Infrastructure Engineer

The Infra Engineer is responsible for deploying and managing secure, scalable infrastructure solutions that integrate seamlessly across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. This role involves working with IoT devices and implementing solutions on both Windows and Linux platforms as well as managing network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and optimize RHEL and Windows systems to ensure high performance and uptime.
  • Implement and manage IoT device integration with backend systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve device, system, and network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Perform network configuration and troubleshooting, including:
  1. VLAN configuration, Routing (static/dynamic)
  2. Firewall and ACL rule management
  3. Load balancer configuration basic
  • Deploy and maintain network infrastructure components (switches, routers, firewalls).
  • Monitor system and network performance and proactively identify bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analyze change requests and recommend improvements for scalability, performance, and security.
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation (network diagrams, configurations, SOPs).

Requirements

  • Preferably Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Technical hands-on experience with RHEL and Windows Server in high-availability environments.
  • Technical hands-on experience in Level 2 networking, including:
  1. TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, NAT
  2. Firewall policy configuration and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting tools, such as:
  1. ping, traceroute, tcpdump, Wireshark
  • Strong knowledge of backup & restoration, virtualization (VMware/Nutanix/Hyper-V), and basic cloud concepts.
  • Experience integrating and troubleshooting IoT and peripheral devices.
  • Strong understanding of system and network security best practices, including:
  1. Compliance hardening, Network segmentation
  2. PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) for certificate management
  • Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure environments and operational procedures.
  • Good communication skills for working with vendors and stakeholders.
