Innovation Officer & Project Coordination

Objective of job
This role supports the department’s front door for innovation ideas across BMBS and acts as a flexible contributor to selected strategic, AI and GTM topics. It helps connect internal and external innovation signals, supports light project coordination, and helps the department move faster without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
In addition, the role supports the department’s market intelligence capability by coordinating relevant internal and external intelligence sources, tracking key developments across own-brand, competitors, macro trends, policy direction and industry hot topics, and supporting the translation of fragmented information into concise, targeted and business-relevant insights for BMBS management and related functions.

Task description
Support the internal innovation window for BMBS employees and capture worthwhile bottom-up ideas from across functions in a structured and business-oriented way.
Support the improvement of reusable templates, summary formats, contact maps and working mechanisms for innovation intake, intelligence tracking and project coordination.
Support light external scouting and maintain a practical view on relevant innovation examples, emerging ideas, selected partners and applicable business trends.
Support monitoring and consolidation of key intelligence topics including own-brand dynamics, competitor moves, macroeconomic trends, policy and regulatory direction, and major automotive / mobility / consumer industry news, with a focus on relevance to BMBS business priorities.
Support coordination of internal and external market intelligence resources and maintain working links with key MI stakeholders, in order to improve visibility on important developments relevant to BMBS decision-making.
Support the preparation of concise, high-quality intelligence inputs for BMBS management and related business teams, highlighting not only “what happened” but also why it matters, what the potential implication is, and where attention may be needed.
Act as an interim project contributor on selected ad-hoc strategic, AI, GTM or innovation-related topics as needed, especially where light structure, follow-up and coordination support can accelerate progress.
Support overall coordination inside the department, especially for topic intake, follow-up, light knowledge management and selected cross-functional alignment tasks.
