Inside Sales Coordinator

What You Can Expect:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing timely, professional support and coordinating solutions with internal teams.
  • Prepare and manage customer quotations, pricing proposals, and sales documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Develop competitive freight pricing by collaborating with operations, carriers, and the global network to identify the best transportation solutions.
  • Coordinate with operations teams to verify routing options, transit times, service availability, and shipment requirements.
  • Follow up on quotations and sales opportunities, maintaining regular communication with prospective customers to support business development efforts.
  • Partner with Business Development Managers to identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities while supporting the sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate with Rhenus offices and international partners to develop customized logistics solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, pricing data, sales activities, and pipeline information within internal systems.
  • Prepare sales reports and analyze performance metrics to support business planning and management reviews.
  • Maintain internal pricing databases, customer contact directories, and sales support documentation.
  • Coordinate customer onboarding activities, including credit documentation, account setup, and welcome communications.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and identifying opportunities to support long-term account growth.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in inside sales, sales support, customer service, or commercial operations within the freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry.
  • Previous experience preparing freight quotations, coordinating customer proposals, or supporting business development activities is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of international freight forwarding, transportation services, and global supply chain operations; experience with ocean, air, or multimodal freight is considered a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with international shipping documentation, Incoterms, and customs processes is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word; experience with CRM platforms and transportation management systems (TMS) is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems, adapt to changing priorities, and work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills in English.
