Inside Sales Representative – Fire Protection (On-site)
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys being in the middle of the action—supporting customers, keeping jobs moving, and finding ways to grow the business. As an Inside Sales Rep, you’ll be a key partner to both customers and outside sales, helping turn opportunities into orders while delivering a strong customer experience.
You’ll handle a mix of order management, quoting, and customer support, while also identifying upsell opportunities and helping drive new business. It’s a fast-paced role where organization, responsiveness, and product knowledge make a real impact.
What You’ll Do
Support day-to-day sales activity by managing customer orders, quotes, and follow-ups across phone and email Keep projects on track by monitoring open orders, resolving issues, and ensuring on-time delivery Build relationships with customers and look for opportunities to grow business through add-on sales and proactive outreach Provide accurate pricing and quotes using internal systems and pricing structures while maintaining margin goals Work closely with outside sales to support their accounts and help close opportunities Help maintain branch inventory by monitoring stock levels, supporting replenishment, and ensuring strong inventory turns Assist walk-in customers at the sales counter as needed, delivering a high level of service and product guidance Support estimating, take-offs, and proposals for customer projects Pitch in with warehouse coordination when needed, including pulling orders or receiving materials
What Makes You a Strong Fit
2–5 years of inside sales or customer-facing experience, ideally in distribution or construction-related products Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset Detail-oriented with the ability to stay organized across orders, quotes, and follow-ups Solid computer skills and ability to work across systems Experience with inventory or product-based sales is a plus

- Inventory sales/order systems experience
- Prior experience in industrial distribution or construction supply
