Installation Technician (Access Control/Surveillance)

Responsible for successful installation, setup, and configuration of security, surveillance, and access control systems. Focused on delivering on company standards, every time, based on Techmenity’s company principles document.

You Are:
  • A trustworthy individual. Hungry to learn and grow. Hands-on and love being in the field as opposed to being behind a desk. Technically inclined and always curious how things work.
You Have:
  • Experience on construction sites. Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools. A steady work history (3yrs between hops), a pleasant disposition, Hiqh EQ.
Your Location:
  • In-Person (Not Remote or Hybrid)

Your Schedule:
  • Hours Per Week: 40 Hours Per Week
  • Days Per Week: Monday to Friday (8am-4pm)

  • On-site installations of surveillance and access control systems (door access, intercoms, credential readers, electric strikes, and maglocks).
  • Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling
  • Mount devices at the ends of those wires
  • Setup, configuration, and programming of devices
  • Troubleshooting of devices
  • Understanding of networks
  • Read and follow plan sets
  • Industry Certifications: CompTIA A+, AVIXA CTS, OSHA 10
  • Access Control Knowledge: Brivo, Verkada, Avigilon Alta/Openpath, Lenel, Kisi, ButterflyMX
  • Experience with surveillance platforms and IP camera systems.
  • $35/hr-$50/hr – Yup!
