We're building a modern L&D function from the ground up — and we're looking for people who want to move beyond delivering training and help design how learning works across the company.


About the Role

This role is at the core of how capability is built at Salmon. As an Instructional Designer, you'll be responsible for turning business needs, operational processes, and performance gaps into effective learning experiences that help teams succeed.

You'll work closely with operations leaders, subject matter experts, trainers, and business stakeholders to understand what people need to learn — then design the training programs, content, assessments, and learning journeys that make that happen.

This role is ideal for experienced trainers who are ready to take the next step: moving from delivering training to designing scalable learning solutions.

We're hiring across three business areas:

  • Customer Support

  • POS (Sales)

  • Deposits / Telesales


What You'll Do

  • Analyze business and performance needs and translate them into structured learning solutions

  • Design end-to-end learning journeys for onboarding, upskilling, product launches, and process changes

  • Create clear, engaging, and practical learning materials, including guides, scripts, job aids, assessments, and e-learning content

  • Work closely with trainers, team leads, and subject matter experts to ensure learning reflects real operational requirements

  • Develop assessment frameworks and evaluation methods to measure learning effectiveness

  • Monitor training outcomes and continuously improve programs based on performance data and feedback

  • Maintain and update learning documentation as products, processes, and policies evolve

  • Support the implementation of scalable learning practices across multiple business functions


What Makes You a Strong Fit

  • 2+ years of experience as a Corporate Trainer, Learning & Development Specialist, Instructional Designer, or a similar role involving training design

  • Experience creating and structuring training materials, learning programs, or educational content

  • Strong writing and content development skills with the ability to simplify complex information

  • Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and translate business requirements into practical learning experiences

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment

  • English proficiency for documentation, content development, and stakeholder communication

Bonus:

  • Experience in customer support, BPO, fintech, banking, or sales environments

  • Knowledge of instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE, Bloom's Taxonomy, or similar frameworks

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools

  • Ability to connect learning outcomes to operational and business performance metrics

  • Experience designing microlearning, blended learning, or digital-first learning solutions
