Instructional Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Instructional Designer based in Canada.

You will transform complex information into clear, structured, and interactive training content using modern instructional design methodologies and digital learning tools. Working closely with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders, you will help shape both e-learning and instructor-led training solutions. The role blends creativity, analysis, and project management, requiring the ability to manage multiple fast-moving initiatives simultaneously. You will also leverage AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency, innovation, and learning impact. Accountabilities:

  • Conduct learning needs analyses to identify skill gaps and define clear, measurable learning objectives aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Design and develop engaging e-learning and instructor-led training materials using instructional design best practices and the ADDIE model.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to transform existing content into interactive and accessible learning modules.
  • Build assessments and learning evaluations aligned with Bloom’s Taxonomy and Kirkpatrick evaluation models.
  • Develop training materials using tools such as Articulate and other digital learning platforms.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools to support content creation, storyboarding, scripting, and instructional design workflows.
  • Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines and quality standards.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure training content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with learner needs.
  • Support continuous improvement by analyzing training effectiveness and refining learning solutions accordingly.
  • Utilize LMS platforms (e.g., UKG Pro or similar) to deploy, track, and optimize learning experiences.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 3–5 years of experience in instructional design and digital learning development.
    • Proven portfolio of e-learning and training materials developed using tools such as Articulate or equivalent software.
    • Strong understanding and practical application of ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and Kirkpatrick evaluation model.
    • Experience designing both e-learning and blended/instructor-led learning solutions.
    • Proficiency in AI-assisted instructional design tools and workflows to improve efficiency and innovation.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially when working with SMEs and cross-functional teams.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to translate complex concepts into clear learning content.
    • Experience working with LMS platforms and digital learning ecosystems is an asset.
