  • Deliver evidence-based brief interventions, including single session approaches, for mild–moderate mental health presentations
  • Partner with families and carers in treatment planning where appropriate
  • Work flexibly across centre-based, outreach and community settings
  • Contribute to clinical reviews, supervision and care escalation where required

  • A minimum Bachelor level qualification in a related discipline (e.g. Social Work or similar)
  • Strong assessment and therapeutic skills with young people across mild–moderate presentations, including brief and single-session approaches
  • Experience working with young people and a sound understanding of adolescent development
  • Confidence engaging young people early in their help-seeking journey and delivering developmentally appropriate care
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders (young people, families, GPs, schools and community services)
  • The ability to prioritise, manage competing demands and work both independently and collaboratively

What will make you stand out
You’ll be highly regarded if you bring:

  • Experience working within a headspace or similar early intervention / primary mental health model
  • Demonstrated success engaging young people who may be reluctant, ambivalent or disengaged from services
