Intercompany Lead Analyst
Job Description Summary
The Intercompany Lead Analyst will drive the end-to-end strategy, governance, and operational execution of the Electrification segment’s intercompany accounting, consolidation, and reporting processes. This is a high-impact role requiring strong process ownership, particularly in the integration of newly acquired entities and the maintenance of rigorous intercompany hygiene. You will serve as the primary bridge between operational finance and global reporting standards, ensuring that all intercompany transactions are accurately captured, reconciled, and settled in compliance with GE Vernova policies.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual intercompany close cycles. Ensure accurate financial reporting through meticulous data consolidation, timely reconciliation, and the proactive resolution of system-level edit checks and consolidation defects.
- Develop and deploy standardized intercompany frameworks for newly acquired entities. Transition legacy processes into the GE Vernova ecosystem, ensuring full alignment with global invoice processing, reconciliation, and settlement standards.
- Serve as the authority on intercompany "disconnects." Proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies in current affiliates, receivables, payables, and sales eliminations. Perform invoice-level reconciliations to maintain ledger integrity. Conducting invoice level reconciliations between DT/DF with counterparties (incl. reviews on externals, which will be required to be reported as interco).
- Own the intercompany settlement lifecycle. Develop schedules, define scope, identify bottlenecks, and drive successful, timely settlement execution.
- Act as a catalyst for continuous improvement. Critically challenge existing system configurations and manual workflows, driving the transition to automated, streamlined solutions that enhance efficiency and data quality.
- Maintain collaborative partnerships with Business Line Leaders, Global Process Leaders (GPL), external/internal auditors and other functions. Provide clear, data-driven financial commentary to ensure transparency across all levels of the organization.
- Challenge process & system deficiencies, drive simplification and continuous improvement. Overseeing system configurations / streamlining / simplifying the manual process.
Required Qualifications
- BA or BS in finance/accounting (or related field) from an accredited college or university
- Strong experience in a controllership/accounting role
- Deep analytical and reporting skills (advanced Excel knowledge)
Desired Characteristics
- Knowledge of the Electrification business (including products, business processes, and systems)
- Deep SAP expertise specifically in the areas Finance (FI) module; experience with FCC consolidation module a plus
- Knowledge of US GAAP and GEV accounting policies and procedures in the areas of consolidation & reporting, intercompany, current affiliates
- Demonstrated ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders, including shared service centers, outsourced providers, and local business finance teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial status updates to leadership
- Motivated to adapt AI / familiar with AI tools to improve the day to day activities
