INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/PHYSICIST

You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/PHYSICIST in the ORDNANCE TEST & EVAL DIVISION, WEAPONS & ENERGETICS DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

You will help lead research and development efforts within the 6.1-6.4 Technology Readiness Level (TRL) to acquire and develop new knowledge and new technology in the field of detonation science to meet fleet needs.

You will interact with internal and external sponsors and program offices to acquire funding for the research and development efforts and lead a team of scientists, engineers and technicians in the execution of the research and development efforts.

You will help train and mentor scientists, engineers, and technicians and stay current in fundamental and state of the art detonation science principles, diagnostics, and experimentation.

You will maintain a substantial independent publication record.
