This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Positions of DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. This position supports the Department of Defense Drug Control Program within the Quality Control Section of the Forensic Toxicology Drug Testing Laboratory (FTDTL).
Responsible for planning, organizing and performing a full range of duties ensuring drug testing procedures adhere to quality criteria and established standard operating procedures.
Utilize chemical stoichiometry to manufacture control solutions for the calibration and control of drug assays.
Perform quality control review of all laboratory assays to include both screening and confirmation to ensure technical compliance with DoD Guidelines.
Inventory and track the usage of manufactured control solutions to ensure availability.
Maintain and calibrate quality control equipment used in testing for drugs of abuse.
