Interim Payroll Manager

Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.

We are seeking an Interim Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations and ensure accurate, timely payroll processing during a temporary engagement. This individual will serve as a key resource for payroll compliance and process management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing
  • Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations
  • Review payroll reconciliations and reporting
  • Address payroll inquiries and discrepancies
  • Partner with HR and Finance on payroll-related matters
  • Support payroll audits and year-end activities
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of payroll experience
  • Experience managing multi-state payroll
  • Knowledge of payroll tax regulations
  • Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, UKG, Workday, or Paycom
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
