Your Opportunity

Our Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury offices are looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join its Cloud Accounting Services team within our Business Services and Outsourcing practice. This is a replacement role, and the successful candidate will be responsible for the below:

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day accounting operations for a variety of clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Maintain organized financial documentation to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase efficiency through better use of systems and tools.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, resolve questions, and build trusted relationships.
  • Participate in travel to client sites as required.

Your Experience and Education

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance, with CPA prerequisites completed or in progress, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience, ideally in public accounting, government, or client-service environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to teach and support clients of varying financial skill levels.
  • High attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team environment.

The expected range of compensation for this role is $43,000 to $65,000 per annum.
