Intermediate Professional, Project Controls

The Project Controller will support AUS Mining projects by managing and controlling cost, schedule, risk, and reporting. The role works closely with Project Managers, engineering teams, and commercial functions to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and aligned with governance standards.

  • Cost & Financial Control: Manage budgets, forecasts (EAC/ETC), variance analysis and invoicing.

  • Planning & Scheduling: Support MSP/P6 schedules, track progress and critical path.

  • Reporting: Prepare dashboards, KPIs, and project performance insights.

  • Risk & Change: Maintain risk, issue and change registers, assess impacts.

  • Governance: Support WBS, baselines, and ensure process compliance.

  • Data Management: Maintain accurate project data and reporting systems.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Work with PMs, engineers, and finance teams.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Basic project management skills

  • Hands on experience in using P6 and MSP.

  • Understand and has utilised CPM, EV Techniques, and Basic project management skills.

  • Capable of managing own work.

  • Commercial awareness.

  • Significant relevant experience (5 to 8 years) in project planning and controlling.

  • Advance level expertise in using MS Excel/ Word for developing tools and dashboards.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Experience in working with international planning and project controls teams.

  • Ability to work in global, multidisciplinary teams.

Technical and Professional Skills:

  • Proficient with Primavera P6, MS Project.
  • Proficient in Adv. Excel and Power BI.
  • Knowledgeable about industry standards and best practices in project or design management.
  • Minimum: Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent project management qualification.
  • Preferable to have PMI (CAPM, PMP) Qualifications.
  • Relevant domain certifications.
