Intern - Engineering (Automation)
Description for Intern Candidates
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Engineering and Automation Team to understand process requirements for automating manual cleaning of optics/lens using a robotic arm.
Assist in the development and implementation of a robotic system (In-house automation) to replicate and standardize manual cleaning processes while ensuring consistency and quality.
Support programming of robotic arm motion, including path planning, force control (if applicable), and repeatability for delicate optics handling.
Conduct process trials to optimize cleaning parameters such as motion path, pressure, speed, and cleaning coverage.
Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of the robotic cleaning system to prevent damage and ensure process reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Process) to validate cleaning performance and meet quality standards.
Education & Experience
Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics or related field.
Exposure to robotics & automation projects is an advantage.
