Intern - IT (Tooling Database Migration)
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Engineering Team to understand requirements for migrating the tooling database from the outdated system into a modern platform.
Assist in the development and implementation of a new database system (SQL/Microsoft Access) to support tooling records, search, and reporting.
Support data migration and validation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of tooling records.
Help design user‑friendly interfaces for tooling entry, search, and reporting workflows.
Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of the database application to ensure reliability and usability.
Work with cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Operations) to validate database functionality and meet requirements.
Education & Experience
Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
Exposure to database systems and frontend & backend programming tools is an advantage.
Skills
Database & Data Management:
Understanding of relational databases (SQL, Access, or SQLite) and data validation processes.
Programming & Application Development:
Familiarity with C#.NET, Python, or similar languages for database integration and interface design.
Workflow & Interface Design:
Ability to design simple, user‑friendly forms and search functions for tooling records.
Problem-Solving & Collaboration:
Strong troubleshooting mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work in a cross‑functional engineering environment.
