Internal Communications Coordinator & Content Management

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Internal Communications Coordinator to serve as a content and channel champion responsible for ensuring the right content and messages reach the right audiences at the right time through the coordination and execution of employee-facing communications across the organization. This role is responsible for day-to-day intranet content management, internal communications workflow coordination, content and editorial planning, and support for broader corporate communications initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong planner, task manager, writer, and editor who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring internal content is clear, timely, consistent, and routed through the appropriate internal communications channels. This role will also provide analytics and reporting support.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day content publishing, updates, and maintenance for the company intranet.
  • Work diligently in Asana (the project management platform) to create, add, and update content plans, workflows, and projects.
  • Manage the internal communications calendar in synchronization with the Marketing Calendar.
  • Coordinate content submissions and partner with stakeholders across Operations, HR, IT, Legal/Compliance, Marketing, and other business functions.
  • Draft, edit, format, and publish employee-facing communications, including announcements, updates, and recurring communications.
  • Support internal distributions such as weekly news distributions, departmental newsletters, intranet features, and communication campaigns.
  • Help maintain consistency in tone, messaging, style, and governance across internal channels.
  • Partner with intranet liaisons and content owners to keep information current, organized, and accessible.
  • Assist Corporate Communications Lead with communications planning, meeting preparation, project tracking, and stakeholder follow-up.
  • Track and report on content performance, engagement trends, and channel effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal content processes, workflow efficiency, and employee experience.
  • Apply AI-enabled tools where appropriate to support content development, efficiency, and communications effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in internal communications, content strategy, content management, or corporate communications support.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience managing digital content, intranet platforms, or SharePoint environments.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines.
  • Ability to work across functions and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience maintaining editorial calendars, content workflows, and approval processes.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Familiarity with communications analytics and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using AI tools to support content creation, editing, or workflow efficiency is a plus.

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

This is a temporary position, structured as a part-time role at approximately 20 hours per week. Please note that temporary roles are not eligible for company-sponsored benefits.

A reasonable estimate of the hourly range for this role is $30-35/hour. Any offered hourly range is based on a wide array of factors, including, but not limited to, skill set, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
