About the position<\/b>

The digital inclusion team is looking for a user research and design support staff based in Kenya. The work will feed into multiple projects, supporting on the implementation of HCD methodologies, from context exploration, to ideation, testing and monitoring of solutions.

\u2022\tContribute to the implementation of HCD methodologies
<\/div>
<\/div>
\u2022\tContribute to the design and implementation of field work for exploration and user feedback gathering
<\/div>
<\/div>
\u2022\tSynthase insights from the field into journeys, personas and design challenges
<\/div>
<\/div>
\u2022\tContribute to the development of prototypes stating potential solutions
<\/div>
<\/div>
\u2022\tSupport on capacity development activities around for HCD
<\/div>
<\/div>
\u2022\tCommunication, outreach and collaboration:
<\/div>
<\/div>
\-\tCommunicate findings through reports and presentations
<\/div>
<\/div>
\-\tEngage with other teams to conduct research and share outputs
<\/div>

Requirements<\/h3>\-\tBachelor\u2019s degree in social sciences, gender or related studies
<\/div>\-\tAt least 3 years of experience applying HCD methodologies
<\/div>\-\tExcellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines;
<\/div>\-\tAbility to communicate complex ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, in English

<\/div>Terms of employment<\/b>
<\/div>This is a nationally recruited position based in Nairobi, Kenya. The initial contract will be for one year, subject to a probation period of three months and is renewable depending on performance and availability of resources.
<\/div>
<\/div>This position is graded at BG06 level, with a minimum basic salary of KES 168,837<\/b> in a scale of BG01 to BG14 (BG14 being the highest level according to the Alliance job classification framework policy). We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits including but not limited to insurance, retirement plan, staff training and development, paid time off and flexible working arrangements.
