The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist independently performs interventional procedures only, utilizing proper techniques and safe administration of contrast media. The technologist works within their licensed scope in medication administration, equipment operation, and venipuncture. This role coordinates patient flow, supports IR operations, and exercises professional judgment to maintain equipment in optimal condition. The technologist will have on call responsibilities and support other IR related functions based on departmental needs.Department Specific Job Details:
Education
Associates degree from accredited institution required
Certifications
Required:
CPR Certification
ARRT RT(R) registry
ODH Radiologic License
Preferred:
ACLS
ARRT Vascular‑Interventional (VI) registry
Experience
1-3 years of job-related experience required
3+ years of progressive Radiologic Technology experience required
Skills/Competencies
Strong understanding of human anatomy
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records
Proficiency with Radiology Information Systems and image storage
Knowledge of advanced IR computer applications
Strong understanding of radiation safety
Demonstrated productivity, teamwork, and independent work capability
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
