Job Week Assignment: 36 weeks per year
Rate of Pay: $15.00 per hour
Work Cycle: Monday two weeks prior to the start of fall semester through graduation
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Revision Date: 1.1.2026
This application is open to Federal Work Study (FWS)-eligible students as well as non-FWS students. Fifty percent of the available positions are reserved for FWS students.
Job Summary
The intramural official, student employee is responsible for assisting with recreational sports in order to promote team building and community among Lindenwood students. This position officiates intramural sports and assists with game preparation and game sight inspection.

Job Responsibilities
- Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
- Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values
- Plans, executes, and officiates intramural sports
- Assists with pre- and post-game logistics
- Assists with preparation and inspection of game sites
- Serves as a greeter and assists students and personnel with scheduling and inquiries
- Maintains a friendly, upbeat, and customer-service oriented environment at all times
- Collaborates and provides feedback regarding program policies and procedures
- Provides guidance and adjusts events due to last-minute obstacles, including inclement weather, availability, or equipment
Job may require other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
- Currently enrolled at Lindenwood University
- Good academic and financial standing with the University
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities – May be representative, but not all inclusive, of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform this job competently.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
- Strong intrapersonal skills, professional integrity, and reliability
- Highly organized with an excellent attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of all intramural sports
- Knowledge of general office software, particularly Microsoft Office Suite
