JOB TITLE SUMMARY

Job Title: Intramural Supervisor, Student Employee

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 15 hours per week

Job Week Assignment: 36 weeks per year

Rate of Pay: $15.00 per hour

Work Cycle: Monday two weeks prior to the start of fall semester through graduation

This application is open to Federal Work Study (FWS)-eligible students as well as non-FWS students. Fifty percent of the available positions are reserved for FWS students.

Job Summary

The intramural supervisor, student employee is responsible for overseeing intramural sporting events. This position also oversees intramurals officials, student employees to ensure all policies/procedures and rules of gameplay are followed during intramural sporting events.

Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators

Job Responsibilities

  • Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
  • Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values
  • Supervises, plans, and executes all intramural sports
  • Provides oversight for student employee intramurals officials
  • Assists campus recreations coordinator with planning and execution of games
  • Enforces all rules and policies pertinent to campus recreations; enforces all rules of intramural sports
  • Ensures facilities are clean and safe
  • Logs all intramurals sport competitors and ensures score cards are accurate and signed
  • Works as a commissioner and supervisor for intramural sports; communicates with officials and participants in the case of rule violations as needed
  • Serves as team lead for events and submits necessary paperwork in a timely manner
  • Provides guidance and adjusts events due to last-minute obstacles, including inclement weather, availability, or equipment

Job may require other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.

  • Currently enrolled at Lindenwood University
  • Good academic and financial standing with the University

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to assume a leadership position and to communicate between professional staff and officials with integrity
  • Highly organized and reliable
  • Strong knowledge of all intramural sports
  • Knowledge of general office software, particularly Microsoft Office Suite

  • Recreation center/gymnasium setting to include Lindenwood courts and fields
  • Evening hours (6 pm – 9 pm) required
