Inventory Controls Coordinator

The Inventory Controls Coordinator provides a strong foundation to a business.\u202f He/she is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory control throughout the plant and ensuring proper stock levels are maintained.\u202f He/she works closely with all departments at the facility and plays an integral part in the process by maintaining an organized and cataloged inventory of necessary plant and fleet supplies.

Essential Functions/Qualifications <\/b>

  • The responsibilities of the position include the following:
    <\/li>
  • Submits orders and tracks through IMS system
    <\/li>
  • Gathers part orders and local requisitions from plant staff
    <\/li>
  • Receives and ships items and parts using a truck, forklift, or flatbed truck
    <\/li>
  • Uses maintenance management software for receiving, inventory and PM generation
    <\/li>
  • Driving to and from town for local duties multiple times throughout shift
    <\/li>
  • Manages local credit card assigning coding to each purchase
    <\/li>
  • Prices out materials for onsite Tender and Fisher Vessel work performed by maintenance employees
    <\/li>
  • Communicates Tender maintenance costs with Fleet Accountant
    <\/li>
  • Manages inventory and parts rooms throughout the facility
    <\/li>
  • Enforces sign\-in/out system
    <\/li>
  • Responsible for cycle counts, restocking orders, organizational systems, receiving orders and stocking in appropriate places, and cataloging each item in our CMMS system
    <\/li>
  • Coordinate with plant departments on required stock items and levels
    <\/li>
  • Responsible for requisition approval processes at plant level
    <\/li>
  • Timely and regular attendance.
    <\/li>
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English.\u202f Ability to effectively present information in one\-on\-one and group situations, to crew members, and other employees of Silver Bay Seafoods.\u202f Decision making skills as well as strong analytical and problem\-solving skills are required.\u202f Ability to add/subtract two digit numbers and multiply/divide with 10's and 100's.\u202f Ability to perform these operations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.\u202f Must have knowledge of inventory control and supply chain management.\u202f Excellent verbal and written communication in English is required.\u202f Ability to maintain professional vendor relationships.\u202f Must maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.\u202f Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles.\u202f Computer skills including Excel and word processing programs at a highly proficient level.\u202f The Inventory Controls Coordinator must also be self\-motivated and demonstrate a sound work ethic.

    The Inventory Controls Coordinator position requires driven machinery certifications such as a forklift, expeditor truck, or flatbed truck which in turn requires a valid driver\u2019s license.

    High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required.\u202f 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    The Inventory Controls Coordinator will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers.\u202f They will be expected to perform some warehousing duties.\u202f The incumbent is located in a busy office area and is faced with constant interruptions and must meet with different kinds of people on a regular basis.\u202f The Inventory Controls Coordinator makes frequent trips to and from town driving a company vehicle.\u202f\u202f
