Inventory & Supply Associate Director

About the Role:

In this role, you will be a key leader within the Operations department, owning supply and inventory end to end. You will be responsible for tightening our S&OP process, managing all supply planning and purchase orders, optimizing lead times across the supply chain, and partnering cross-functionally to drive inventory reduction and sell-through of excess and obsolete product. The ideal candidate is a structured thinker with deep supply chain expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across channel, finance, and operations teams.

This role will report to the Director of Demand & Supply Planning.

This is a full-time, hybrid role with company benefits based in Marina del Rey, CA.

The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $150,000 to $170,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.

What You'll Do:

  • Be an integral part of the S&OP process end to end — drive continuous improvements to tighten cadence, data quality, and cross-functional alignment
  • Manage all supply planning and work with Procurement on order execution based on demand inputs, ensuring on-time and in-full supply to support business needs
  • Analyze supply chain lead times to identify opportunities for optimization and reduction in carrying costs and inventory levels
  • Partner with the Finance team to develop and maintain inventory metrics and dashboards that track inventory reduction progress and health
  • Own the Excess & Obsolete (E&O) process — identify root causes, facilitate cross-functional reviews, and develop actionable sell-through plans with channel leads
  • Collaborate with channel heads to understand demand drivers behind excess and obsolete inventory and align on mitigation strategies
  • Work closely with channel heads to vet and validate launch quantities for new product introductions, leveraging historical data and demand signals
  • Own supply and inventory performance end to end, serving as the primary point of accountability for supply health across the organization
  • Contribute as a collaborative, cross-functional leader — your scope will evolve as the business grows

About You:

  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or S&OP roles, preferably within CPG, e-commerce, or retail
  • Demonstrated expertise in supply planning, purchase order management, and inventory optimization
  • Strong understanding of S&OP processes and the ability to drive improvements in planning rigor and cross-functional alignment
  • Experience developing inventory KPIs and working with Finance teams on inventory reporting and reduction initiatives
  • Proven ability to manage Excess & Obsolete processes, including root cause analysis and sell-through execution
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with channel, finance, and operations stakeholders to align on decisions and influence outcomes
  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and planning tools or ERP systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to senior leadership
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup and/or CPG environment strongly preferred
  • People management experience with direct reports is a plus
