Summary of Position

People Relations (“PR”) is a global department comprised of a team of seasoned investigators. The primary function of the department is to conduct objective, balanced, and thorough investigations into claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other serious policy violations in the workplace. The People Relations team operates with the highest level of integrity and business ethics leveraging insights to influence all levels of the organization. The team acts with warmth, empathy, compassion, and creativity to drive effectiveness through the investigative process. The Investigator role personally conducts employment investigations involving employees across all business units.

People Relations (“PR”) is a People & Culture Center of Expertise (“CoE”) comprised of a global team of investigators. The primary function of the CoE is to conduct objective, balanced, and thorough investigations into claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other serious policy violations in the workplace. Reporting to the TBD, the Hyderabad Investigator will be a key point of contact for our employees based in India and across APAC. You will personally conduct employment investigations involving employees across all business units. Together with Employment Legal and local People & Culture Partners, you will take an active role in outsourced investigations. At the onset, you will be asked to localize the domestic investigation process and adopt PR’s values and initiatives. You will also conduct investigations in other regions outside of APAC as needed. The expectation is for you to forge trusted relationships with the Employment attorneys, local People & Culture Partners, Security, and other global key stakeholders to resolve complex employment issues. You will identify trends related to claims and make recommendations to address issues identified--these may include partnership with the DEI team, training opportunities, culture enhancements, or changes to disciplinary action protocols. Flexible availability is required as the role partners with Global colleagues and partners.

Work Experience

  • 8-12 years of experience conducting employment related investigations

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • JD or other applicable graduate degree preferred.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Demonstrated progressive Human Resources management or employment law experience
  • Entertainment or Technology industry experience desirable
  • Must be able to demonstrate operative knowledge of Human Resources policies, practices, and procedures
  • Must have operative knowledge of local laws governing employment issues
  • Must handle investigations with objectivity and consistency
  • Must be able to handle multiple investigations and projects simultaneously
  • Must have excellent follow-through and a strong sense of urgency
  • Must be able to research and analyze data and findings
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel including attorneys and business unit executives
  • Must be able to be tactful yet assertive when addressing employment issues and concerns
  • Must be able to utilize diplomacy, assertiveness, and adaptability attributes in dealing with senior executives throughout the organization
  • Must be able to handle difficult/highly emotional personalities
  • Must be able to exercise keen judgment when analyzing and resolving employment issues
  • Must be able to uphold the highest level of confidentiality
  • Ability to capture accurate and detailed notes quickly
  • Strong working knowledge of Indian labor laws is essential.
  • Preference for HR Business Partners with experience in investigations or professionals from People/Talent Relations backgrounds only.
  • Candidates with a purely legal (law-only) background, without hands-on HR or employee relations experience, may not be an ideal fit for this role.

Shift Timings:- 9.30 AM to 5.30 PM IST
