IP Network Designer

As an IP Network Designer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of networking IP solutions, contributing to the advancement of internet protocol architectures and technologies. Leveraging your expertise in IP design and networking protocols, you will architect, design, and optimize IP blocks to support high-performance, scalable, and secure network systems. Additionally, you will provide 3rd line support, conduct problem analysis, and work within a DevOps environment.

  • IP Design: Collaborate with system architects to define the architectural design and functionality of networking IP blocks, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards..
  • Implementation: Collaborate with Operations to ensure timely and first time right implementation of IP designs ensuring compliance with industry standards and performance targets.
  • Protocol Compliance: Ensure compliance of networking IP designs with relevant networking protocols and standards, such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, UDP, IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, and others, to facilitate interoperability and compatibility with existing network infrastructure.
  • Design: Design network solutions based on business requirements, including the preparation of High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD), as well as the preparation of detailed network diagrams and document network configurations.
  • 3rd Line Support and Problem Analysis: Provide expert-level support for IP-related issues, conducting thorough problem analysis, debugging complex design issues, and implementing effective solutions to ensure robustness and reliability.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including system architects, security engineers, and operations engineers, to ensure seamless integration and implementation of networking IP designs within larger network systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest networking technologies and methodologies, evaluating and adopting best practices to enhance IP design capabilities and efficiency.
  • Software Testing: Lead the testing of software releases for networking IP solutions, including functional testing, regression testing, and performance testing, to ensure reliability, robustness, and compatibility with diverse network environments.
  • Migration Scripts: Develop migration scripts and tools to facilitate the seamless transition and integration of networking IP solutions into existing network infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption and downtime.
  • Automation: Implement automation strategies and tools for IP design, verification, testing, and deployment processes, to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and accelerate time-to-market for networking solutions.
  • DevOps Environment: Work in a DevOps environment, collaborating with operations teams to streamline IP development testing and maintenance processes.
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree or equivalent level gained by experience, in Information Technology / Electronics / Telecommunications / Data communications Engineering
  • Expertise in Networking Protocols: In-depth knowledge and experience in networking protocols, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, UDP, IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, ISIS and others, with a strong understanding of their architecture, operation, and implementation.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality networking solutions.
  • Problem-solving and Debugging: Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to analyze complex networking issues and implement effective solutions to ensure robustness and reliability.
  • Documentation and Communication: Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise design documentation, effectively communicate technical concepts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

    Specific knowledge

  • Experience on IP routing protocol such as IGP ISIS/OSPF,BGP, Segment Routing MPLS, RSVP, TE, Gigabit Ethernet, Multicast, SNMP, IPv4/6 and QOS In-depth knowledge and understanding of IP networks and architecture.
  • Good understanding and experience in WLAN technology, ISP subscriber technologies, such as IPoE, DHCP and RADIUS.
  • Strong knowledge of IP/MPLS networks, including L2VPN and L3VPN technologies.
  • Experience in Service Provider networks Fixed and Mobile ( 4G/5G and Enterprise 4G/5G).
  • Experience in designing/operating IP networks using Cisco and Juniper networking technologies.
  • Experience in network automation and virtualization technologies is an advantage
  • IP Network certifications, including Cisco CCNP/CCIE or Juniper JNCIP/JNCIE is also desired.
