IR/ER Manager
ROLE SUMMARY
The main purpose of the role is to lead the employee relations and industrial relations agenda for Pfizer Korea in alignment with global strategy..
All of the work performed is to reflect the internal policy and governance expectations as well as meet the local legal requirements.
This position is individual contributor role and reports directly to Korea PX Lead.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Architect and steward the union relationship for Pfizer Korea – acting as a strategic partner, not a buffer between the organization and its people.
Lead multi-year ER roadmap that anticipates regulatory shifts, business transformation and evolving colleague expectations.
Champion systematic listening mechanism (Pfizer Pulse, joint forums) to surface insights that inform talent, culture and policy decisions.
Build trust based union relationships; lead negotiation strategy and prepare leadership for collective bargaining and wage negotiation.
Design and execute 2~3 year strategic roadmap aligned to business principles.
Establish structured listening cadences; synthesize colleague’s voice into people and culture strategy
Convene C&B, legal and PX Business Partner’s for data backed, team-owned decisions.
Lead all union and related negotiations and consultation processes in accordance with the legal requirements. This includes collective bargaining agreement and related changes to employment conditions, wage negotiations, other employee and industrial relations agenda.
Bring a disciplined approached to managing the relationship with union and building a cohesive, values driven engagement.
Manage LMC as an across-the-board entity embracing all divisions. Equal treatment in reflecting each TA/Functions’ interests in LMC and strategic handling of regular and temporary country-wide LMC meetings. Stay up to-date with external labor environment / industrial relations landscape and be able to provide succinct insights to management (local & international).Educate/Lead management and front-line managers regarding IR matters and or institutional changes, if any
Lead and manage all communication, verbal, written and other forms between employee forums, union and management.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree or equivalent
Min 7 years experiences in Industrial Relations
Strength in communication skills – written and verbal
Ability to communicate effectively in English – written and verbal
Proven track record in negotiation/conflict mangement skills
Ability to build trust, and values based relationships
Strong stakeholder management experience
Project management experience
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Can travel but limited occasion
Some after-hours work can be done on ad-hoc basis
