We are now seeking an Employee Relations Senior Manager to lead and strengthen our ER strategy in Indonesia—ensuring compliance, building strong stakeholder relationships, and enabling stable, high-performing operations.

Your Impact

As a strategic leader and trusted advisor, you will play a critical role in safeguarding business continuity through effective employee relations practices:

Lead Employee Relations Strategy

  • Act as the primary advisor to country leadership on ER matters
  • Develop and govern ER frameworks, policies, and practices
  • Align ER strategy with business objectives and operational needs Manage Employee Relations
  • Lead resolution of grievances, disputes, and disciplinary cases
  • Drive effective negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution
  • Represent the company in industrial disputes and tribunal proceedings Drive Union & External Stakeholder Engagement
  • Lead collective bargaining agreements (CBA) and union negotiations
  • Build strong relationships with labor unions, regulators, and government bodies
  • Represent the organization with institutions such as the Ministry of Manpower Ensure Compliance & Risk Mitigation
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with Indonesian labor laws and regulations
  • Proactively identify ER risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Advise leadership on regulatory changes and potential business impact Partner with Business Leaders
  • Act as an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support workforce strategy
  • Support organizational change, transformation, and operational performance
  • Provide guidance on employee relations practices and negotiation strategies Promote Positive Employee Relations
  • Foster a culture of trust, transparency, and engagement
  • Facilitate dialogue between employees and management
  • Drive initiatives to enhance workforce alignment and communication Build Capability & Governance
  • Establish consistent ER governance processes across sites
  • Analyze ER data and trends to support decision-making
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing ER and HRBP team

Who We’re Looking For

A strategic and highly experienced ER leader with deep expertise in labor law and union environments:

  • ✅ Bachelor’s degree in Law or related discipline (HR/IR/Business qualifications are a plus)
  • ✅ Certified Advocate with valid license preferred
  • ✅ Professional HR/IR certifications (IRCP, CHRM, or equivalent) are advantageous
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Employee Relations and HRBP roles
  • ✅ Strong experience in unionized environments and CBA negotiations
  • ✅ Proven track record managing complex disputes, litigation, and IR cases
  • ✅ Experience in large, operational workforce environments (logistics, manufacturing, supply chain)
  • ✅ Strong engagement with government bodies and external stakeholders
  • ✅ Expertise in Indonesian labor law and industrial relations practices
  • ✅ Exceptional negotiation, mediation, and stakeholder management skills
  • ✅ Strong analytical mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
  • ✅ High cultural awareness and ability to work across diverse environments
  • ✅ Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • ✅ Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems
  • ✅ Formal training in industrial relations, negotiation, and dispute resolution
