Irage-Low Latency Network Engineer

Low Latency Network Engineer

Technology/Chandivali, Mumbai

About Us:
iRage
is one of India's leading high-frequency trading firms. We build and own everything in-house, from ultra-low-latency execution to full trading infrastructure. Our systems deliver some of the lowest latencies in the market, with order-send speeds under 100 nanoseconds. Our stack is fully in-house: custom FPGA pipelines, kernel-bypass networking, in-house exchange gateways, and a C++ codebase we own end-to-end from market data ingestion to order entry and risk. But great technology alone doesn't move markets. Our quant and tech teams work in lockstep, and the results speak for themselves. Millions of trades. Every day. At lightning speed. iRage is where that tech expertise meets real market impact, at scale, in one of the world's fastest-growing trading ecosystems.

  • Coordinate with external vendors on site selection, regulatory approvals, and end-to-end hardware integration.
  • Continuously tune, monitor, and troubleshoot RF links to maximize uptime and minimize latency across the network.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience designing and deploying microwave networking, custom RF systems, or line-of-sight wireless links.
  • Proven background in low-latency network environments such as HFT firms, telecom operators, or latency-sensitive infrastructure roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of routing and switching protocols, Linux networking stacks, and packet-level traffic analysis using tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.
  • Familiarity with RF path planning tools such as Pathloss or equivalent spectrum planning software.

Good to Have:

  • Exposure to dark fiber, optical transport networks, or hybrid network architecture design.
  • Prior experience working with microwave and wireless vendors such as Aviat, Ceragon, Ubiquiti, or custom RF solution providers.
  • Background in financial market infrastructure, electronic trading networks, or capital markets technology environments.
