IT Asset Coordinator

Responsibilities: • Implement ITAM process (procedures and policies) and technologies and adhere with ITAM strategy • Ensure all ITAM activities are implemented as defined in the overall ITAM lifecycle approach • Negotiating and developing the key measurement of the critical success factors for ITAM • Execute ITAM components (processes & policies, and SOPs) • Define standard for ITAM data elements for Hardware • Provide guidance in usage of the supporting technologies (VSM) to support ITAM processes • Document gaps between process and technology (if any) • Work tickets in the ITAM queue regardless of whether the request is for hardware or software. • Help other team members with research when special projects or requests are received • Reconciliation of asset inventories hardware. • Develop ITAM reports • Give guidance on the fulfillment process and how to review inventories before ordering. • Point of contact for ITAM requests and be able to research and resolve requests for hardware. • Develop automation of ITAM reports. • Report verifications and reconciliation to physical inventories • Provide input to ITAM Program Manager for hardware process improvements. The candidate would also assist with: • Receiving process • Asset tagging • Asset deployment and related activities • Maintenance, retirement and disposal • Repurpose • Refresh Education & Experience Requirements • Knowledgeable of ITIL v3 / Foundation certified a plus. • Experience in using IT asset management databases. • Understanding of technologies used in large organizations to deliver ITSM services. • Must be able to interpret asset renewal Terms & Conditions (contractual language) • Understanding of IT Service Management processes. • Experience with Business Objects reporting tool a plus. • Proficient in MS Excel. • Strong knowledge and experience with IT hardware asset life cycle management, processes planning, acquisition, deployment monitoring, harvesting and retirement. • SQL a plus.

CITAM Certification and/or CSAM, CHAMP Certification, or similar certification preferred.
