IT Business Manager Spain
Sika Spain is looking for an IT Business Manager, located in Alcobendas. The person will be responsible for managing IT operations, ERP/SAP support, infrastructure, business applications, and digital transformation initiatives while ensuring alignment between IT and business objectives. The role will lead Corporate, Regional & Area IT initiative rollouts across Spain, with a strong focus on Power BI, AI initiatives, automation, operational efficiency, and stakeholder engagement.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on IT professional who combines strong support fundamentals with a builder mindset. Someone comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy, able to balance day-to-day support with longer-term improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Transformation / Power BI / AI Initiatives
- Drive digital transformation initiatives across the business.
- Lead Power BI reporting, dashboards, and data analytics projects.
- Support AI and automation initiatives to improve business efficiency and decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization through technology solutions.
ERP / SAP Support
- Manage ERP/SAP support, enhancements, troubleshooting, and user coordination.
- Ensure system stability, performance, and continuous improvement of ERP processes.
Project Management
- Lead IT projects from planning through implementation and support.
- Manage timelines, resources, risks, budgets, and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure successful rollout of corporate and regional IT initiatives across Spain.
Team Management & IT Operations
- Manage day-to-day IT operations and user support activities.
- Management of local Business IT personnel (hiring, developing, performance appraisal, corrective actions, terminations).
- Lead and develop the IT team while ensuring high service standards.
- Handle major IT incidents, escalations, and problem resolution.
Business Relationship Management
- Partner with department heads and business stakeholders to understand IT requirements.
- Regularly meet with Area IT Manager and GM to report on Business IT activities and consult/align on business requirements to support the digitalization and Business IT service provisioning.
- Align IT solutions with business objectives and operational priorities.
- Act as the key liaison between business functions and IT teams.
Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Partner with Regional Tech Team to Oversee IT infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud services, and end-user systems.
- Ensure system availability, backup, security, and business continuity.
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Manage external IT vendors, service providers, contracts, and licensing agreements.
- Monitor vendor performance and service delivery.
Security, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with IT security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives, audits, and risk management activities.
Strategy, Budgeting & Administration
- Support IT budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Maintain IT documentation, reporting, policies, and governance procedures.
- Provide regular management updates on IT operations and projects.
Business Application Support
- Support and maintain Local business applications across departments.
- Coordinate application upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and user support.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT management, ERP/SAP support, or business partnering roles.
- Experience in digital transformation, Power BI, AI initiatives, and enterprise systems.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management experience.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and vendor management.
