IT Business Solutions Project Specialist
The IT Business Solutions Project Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating technology-related business initiatives, ensuring that business requirements are effectively translated into IT solutions. This role serves as a bridge between business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and aligned with organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead and coordinate IT business solution projects from initiation through implementation and post-go-live support.
- Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure project deliverables meet business requirements, quality standards, and deadlines.
Business Analysis & Solution Development
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
- Evaluate existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement through technology solutions.
- Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement effective business solutions.
- Prepare functional specifications, process flows, and system documentation.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary liaison between business users, IT teams, and external vendors.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and project status updates.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
System Implementation & Support
- Coordinate system testing activities including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Support system deployment, user training, and change management activities.
- Ensure successful adoption of implemented solutions.
- Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvement recommendations.
Vendor & Compliance Management
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure project deliverables are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor vendor performance and service quality.
Requirements
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Project Management, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT project management, business analysis, or business solutions implementation.
- Experience managing enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, HRIS, Finance Systems, or workflow automation platforms.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering cross-functional IT projects.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of business process analysis and system implementation methodologies.
- Familiarity with project management frameworks (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
- Experience with business requirement gathering, process mapping, and documentation.
- Knowledge of data analysis, reporting tools, and system integration concepts is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools.
