General Summary

This role provides frontline IT support to employees by troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues across offices, plants, and job sites, ensuring reliable day to day technology operations. The role also supports local network infrastructure, coordinates issue escalation when needed, and works closely with end users, business leadership, and Corporate IT to maintain efficient and productive systems.

Essential Job Accountabilities

  • Respond to and resolve incoming IT Service Desk requests to ensure employee technology issues are addressed promptly and service levels are met

  • Diagnose and resolve local network and communication issues to maintain reliable and uninterrupted business operations

  • Maintain and support local VoIP telephone systems and related equipment to ensure consistent and effective communication services

  • Support the maintenance and administration of the local Active Directory OU, network applications, servers, file shares, and network services in accordance with company policies to ensure secure and standardized IT operations

  • Assist developing and maintaining business unit IT documentation to promote consistent standards, procedures, and knowledge sharing across locations

  • Participate in testing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans to minimize operational downtime and ensure system availability during disruptive events

  • Assist coordinating the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment to ensure compliance with corporate standards, best practices, and management directives

  • Maintain accurate hardware inventory, software licensing, and asset rotation records to support compliance, cost control, and effective asset management

  • Support the design, installation, and maintenance of IT resources for acquisitions, large projects, and joint ventures to ensure alignment with corporate standards and integration requirements

  • Support business applications and systems to ensure adherence to best practices and corporate IT standards

  • Troubleshoot and resolve PC hardware and software issues to minimize employee downtime and meet service level agreement (SLA) requirements

  • Assist Business Unit management to assess future IT needs, budgets, forecasts, licensing, and asset strategies to support enterprise initiatives and alignment with company goals

  • Maintain ongoing communication with the IT Manager and local Business Manager to ensure effective issue resolution, prioritization, and alignment of IT services with business needs

Education

  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education, training, experience and/or certifications

  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent demonstrated training/experience

  • Microsoft Role-Based Certification (Single-Exam) preferred

  • CompTIA Network+ certification preferred

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience providing network and PC support in a multi-site business environment

  • Familiarity with cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of professional IT support principles with the ability to apply company policies, procedures, and standards to resolve routine to moderately complex issues

  • Ability to analyze and address problems of moderate to advanced scope by evaluating data, system behavior, and multiple contributing factors, exercising judgment within established practices

  • Ability to work independently on routine tasks with minimal supervision and to complete new assignments with general direction

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and Microsoft Active Directory

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to effectively support end users

  • Working knowledge of server hardware, workstation technologies, and storage solutions across common manufacturers

  • Basic knowledge of networking technologies, including routers, switches, access points, and related equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet

  • Basic knowledge or familiarity with Unified Communications technologies

  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts and solutions to non-technical users

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills when working with internal users and stakeholders

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to document issues and solutions clearly

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Base Salary Range:

$50,168.00 - $75,253.00

Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
