IT Infrastructure Engineer

DBiz is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer (Collaboration) to support and drive the development and management of productivity and collaboration solutions for our clientele projects. In this role, you will work closely with clients across various industries, ensuring the delivery of robust, secure, and scalable collaboration platforms.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end development, deployment, and management of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace collaboration suites for client environments
  • Specialise in SharePoint Online (site architecture, intranet solutions, document management), Microsoft Teams (governance, channel management, voice/video integration), and OneDrive for Business (storage, sync, data lifecycle)
  • Plan and execute large-scale migrations from on-premises SharePoint to SharePoint Online, ensuring minimal business disruption and strong user adoption
  • Continuously monitor service health, performance, and usage of collaboration platforms, providing advanced technical support and optimising configurations
  • Implement security measures across collaboration platforms, including identity management (Active Directory, Entra AD) and endpoint security (Intune, Defender, Purview)
  • Administer and integrate secondary enterprise productivity platforms to ensure seamless interoperability with Microsoft backend services
  • Build reusable automation and use scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and tools (PowerBI, Dynatrace, Axonius) for monitoring, reporting, and workflow automation
  • Create documentation, self-service guides, and conduct training sessions to drive effective adoption of collaboration tools for client end-users
  • Engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions meeting availability, capacity, resiliency, security, and continuity needs
  • Forecast and manage budgets for project initiatives and maintenance contracts
  • Ensure compliance with relevant technical architectures, IT policies, and standards
  • Take ownership of project delivery, risk mitigation, and change management for client projects
  • Mentor junior team members and provide recommendations for continuous improvement

Key Requirements:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in developing and managing Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 ecosystems, with deep expertise in SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange Online—including on-premises to cloud migrations
  • Strong background in identity management (Active Directory, Entra AD) and endpoint security (Intune, Defender, Purview)
  • Advanced proficiency in automating cross-platform workflows using PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Graph API
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to conceptualise and deliver productivity solutions for diverse client needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to present to non-technical audiences and create comprehensive documentation
  • Proactive, dedicated, and able to work independently on client projects
  • Experienced in contract and vendor management
  • Team player with strong organisational and stakeholder management skills

Good-to-Have:

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Endpoint Administrator Associate, or ITIL certification
  • Experience in project leadership, strategic alignment, and mentoring junior staff

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
