IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN)

As a IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) at the GS-2210-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Leads the analysis, planning, and design of the agency's enterprise architecture, serving as the final technical authority on IT standards, platforms, and configurations to enhance the end-user experience. Develops and executes short- and long-range IT modernization plans, directing resources to integrate new technologies like the ServiceNow platform and next-generation desktop solutions. Interprets high-level guidance from the Department of War (DoW) to develop, implement, and audit agency-specific IT policies, ensuring alignment and conformance across all programs. Manages the full lifecycle for key IT modernization projects, directing personnel and financial resources to ensure initiatives like the ServiceNow implementation are completed on schedule and within budget. Acts as the primary decision-maker to adjudicate conflicting stakeholder requirements, prioritize IT investments, and resolve critical technical problems related to architecture and projects. Serves as the lead change agent for the adoption and optimization of the ServiceNow platform, with direct responsibility for the ITSM, ITOM, and Software/Hardware Asset Management (SAM/HAM) modules. Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide data-driven assessments of the agency's IT performance, system health, and end-user satisfaction to leadership.
