We are looking for a <\/span>Part Time IT Infrastructure Technician<\/b> <\/span>who can visit our Chandigarh office every evening to maintain and monitor the company\u2019s computer systems and IT infrastructure.
<\/p>This role is ideal for an <\/span>IT professional already working in a company during the day<\/b> <\/span>who is looking for a structured evening engagement.
<\/p>The technician will be responsible for maintaining the health, security, and functionality of the office computer systems and keeping an organized inventory of all IT equipment.

System Maintenance<\/b>
<\/b><\/p>- Inspect approximately <\/span>5 computers per day<\/b> <\/span>and maintain a weekly cycle of <\/span>30 to 35 computers<\/b>
<\/li>- Ensure all computers are running smoothly and securely
<\/li> - Install and monitor system updates and security patches
<\/li> - Monitor system health and performance
<\/li><\/ul>Hardware Maintenance<\/b>
<\/p>- Periodically <\/span>open and clean desktop computers<\/b> <\/span>to remove dust and prevent overheating
<\/li>- Check internal components such as RAM, storage drives, cooling systems and power supplies
<\/li> - Identify early signs of hardware failure
<\/li><\/ul>IT Infrastructure Inventory<\/b>
<\/p>- Maintain a <\/span>detailed IT infrastructure register<\/b> <\/span>including:
<\/li>- Desktop computers
<\/li> - Monitors
<\/li> - Network switches
<\/li> - Routers
<\/li> - Firewalls
<\/li> - Storage devices
<\/li> - Peripherals
<\/li> - Track serial numbers, installation locations, and condition of equipment
<\/li><\/ul>Issue Management<\/b>
<\/p>- Employees will log computer issues using a <\/span>QR based reporting system<\/b> <\/span>placed near their workstation
<\/li>- Diagnose reported issues and resolve them where possible
<\/li> - Escalate complex issues to the <\/span>IT security team or Harvinder (IT supervisor)<\/b>
<\/li><\/ul>Security and System Checks<\/b>
<\/p>- Ensure systems remain compliant with company IT security policies
<\/li> - Monitor for unauthorized software installations
<\/li> - Verify antivirus, firewall, and endpoint protection systems are functioning
<\/li><\/ul>Documentation<\/b>
<\/p>- Maintain daily maintenance logs
<\/li> - Record repairs, updates, hardware changes, and issue resolutions
<\/li><\/ul>Candidate Requirements<\/b>
<\/p>- Minimum <\/span>2 to 4 years of experience in IT support or system maintenance<\/b>
<\/li>- Strong knowledge of <\/span>desktop hardware and troubleshooting<\/b>
<\/li>- Good understanding of <\/span>Windows operating systems<\/b>
<\/li>- Knowledge of <\/span>computer hardware cleaning and servicing<\/b>
<\/li>- Familiarity with <\/span>network basics, routers, switches and firewalls<\/b>
