Responsibilities
· Planning for and determining current and future supply requirements to meet customer needs.
· Preparing recommendations for the procurement of materials indicating the types of items, quantities and source of supply.
·
· Monitoring the status and effectiveness of material support by identifying, analysing, and resolving problems.
· Planning and scheduling of the supply management activities. Developing and establishing work and performance standards.
· Supervising Supply Management Personnel and able to prioritise workload and ensure effective and efficient operation of the functional area.
· Conducting personnel training in an individual or group environment.
· Inspecting and evaluating supply management activities through manual/automated systems.
· Developing training aids and analysing reports and surveys and making recommendations.
· Has supply chain management experience .
· Developing methods and improving procedures for storage.
· Maintaining updated status of Spares Procurements and Tracking of repairs in Supply Chain, as required.
Job Requirements\:
· A minimum of 15 years of practical and progressive experience in Supply Training & Logistics Procedures.
· Extensive practical supply experience with proven experience.
· Extensive experience of Stock Control/Item Management.
· Attendance at an Item Management Operator Course.
· The incumbent should have knowledge of\: organisational supply policies and procedures, stock control, accountability and responsibility, methods of preparing and maintaining supply and property records of documents by manual or mechanised methods.
· They must also have knowledge of property accountability, methods of storing and receiving, issuing and disposing of property, material handling techniques.
