ITEST Administrative Assistant
The ITEST Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the ITEST department. This is a permanent position based in Wellington, Western Cape.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare reports for the various precision farming services offered.
- Conduct quality control on reports.
- Printing and binding of books (GIS maps) for clients.
- Send printed books to the relevant Agriculturist.
- Data capturing.
- Daily follow-up on outstanding corrections and with the relevant Field Technician regarding differences in the information provided.
- Handle any email, WhatsApp, or Smartsheet requests for all ITEST services.
- Respond to queries and requests from the lab and ITEST team.
- Extract MYFARMWEB data for each client and compare it to Smartsheets. Follow-up to fix inconsistencies and translate crop and growth stage for Afrikaans clients.
- Compare, translate, and submit all information received from the Automator.
- Communicate with the lab regarding any changes to lab reports.
- Respond to any requests from the Support Agriculturist, Field Technician, or Agriculturist teams regarding lab reports.
- Control the Smartsheets for all ITEST services and record all intake forms and App information on the relevant Sheets.
- Monitor courier services and lab analyses turnaround times and follow up with relevant parties if there are delays.
- When you receive lab analyses, review and save them before uploading them to Smartsheets and renaming them for the ITEST team.
- Complete and conduct the quality checks for the DRISS’ within the allocated turnaround time.
- Ensure all completed DRISS’ and reports are sent out.
- Locate missing samples and send through all necessary communication regarding rotten samples.
- Ensure all Intertek submissions and paperwork are submitted promptly.
- Confirm that Intertek receives the samples and that the analyses are sent to the ITEST team the next day.
- Ad hoc or other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- National Senior Certificate or diploma in Administration or any other relevant qualification
Experience
- Administrative experience would be advantageous
Other specific requirements
- Full professional proficiency in Afrikaans and English (speaking and writing)
- Computer literate with high proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
