Java / Web Developer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Java / Web Developer based in Brazil.
You will join a collaborative international engineering team working on large-scale, web-based applications used by major public sector organizations across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful digital solutions that require high standards of quality, security, and scalability. You will be involved in both backend and frontend development within modern Java ecosystems, with continuous exposure to best practices and clean architecture. A key aspect of the role includes communication in English and ongoing development of German language skills.
Accountabilities:
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex web-based applications used in critical public sector environments.
- Build, test, and maintain scalable software solutions, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to deliver high-quality features and improvements.
- Contribute to software design discussions and adhere to established coding and quality standards.
- Support the creation and maintenance of clear technical documentation.
- Engage in continuous improvement of development processes and team practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Solid knowledge of Java and strong enthusiasm for software development.
- Familiarity with web technologies and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Angular, REST/SOAP services, or microservices is a plus.
- Understanding of databases (e.g., SQL), ORM tools (e.g., Hibernate), and modern software architecture principles is desirable.
- Good communication skills in English and at least basic German (B1 level), with willingness to improve.
