JR Project Coordinator (AI & Automation)
About the team
Our operations team drives the strategy and execution of cross-functional projects that touch every part of the company. The Operations Project Manager owns project strategy and stakeholder coordination, while the Project Coordinator leads implementation — building and maintaining the tools and automations that keep our projects running.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our operations team and help drive the implementation of cross-functional projects and the internal tools that support them.
We are looking for a balanced profile: the core of the role is coordination — keeping projects moving, running working sessions, connecting the tools and teams involved, and turning requirements into working solutions — paired with a real interest in AI and automation.
You don’t need to be an expert engineer, but you should already use (or be eager to learn) tools that help you automate work and build simple solutions. You will work closely with our current Project Coordinator, complementing the team we already have.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate projects: partner with the Project Manager and current Project Coordinator to keep cross-functional projects on track, from requirements through delivery.
Facilitate & communicate: lead working sessions and meetings, follow up on action items, and clearly communicate progress to stakeholders across teams.
Implement tools: help implement, configure, and maintain the internal tools and workflows that support our operations.
Build & automate: where possible, build and improve automations using tools such as Google Apps Script, no-code/low-code platforms, and AI-powered apps to reduce manual work.
Integrate systems: connect the various tools and systems used across operations and other teams so data and processes flow smoothly.
Document: create and maintain documentation for the processes and tools you work with so they are reliable and easy to hand off.
Maintain & improve: monitor existing tools and automations, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve reliability.
Required Qualifications
1 year of experience in Project Coordination or Continuous improvement roles
Experience in project coordination, operations, or similar role, with a track record of keeping projects and stakeholders organized.
Experienced working remotely, ideally in a startup or remote-first company — self-directed, proactive, and comfortable with the autonomy and pace remote work requires.
Working / conversational English: able to read, write, and hold a conversation comfortably. Strong organization, problem-solving, communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Genuine interest in AI and automation, and a willingness to learn new tools quickly — even if you don’t have deep technical experience yet.
Comfortable learning and working with software tools, and a collaborative mindset that complements an existing two-person team.
Studies in Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related fields
Nice to Have (Strong Plus)
Hands-on experience building automations with tools such as Google Apps Script, Python, JavaScript, or no-code/low-code platforms.
Practical experience applying AI tools (e.g., LLM-based apps, prompt design, or AI automation platforms) to real workflows.
Comfortable working with APIs and integrating multiple SaaS tools.
Familiarity with project management and collaboration platforms (e.g., Notion, Slack, Google Workspace).
Exposure to data analysis or building dashboards and reporting.
