JumpStart Program
At White & Case, our people are a valuable asset: Our clients’ needs require collaboration across borders and a broad range of perspectives on complex issues.
Our JumpStart Initiative, based in our Milan office, aims to introduce third-year law students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to careers in the law.

What we offer
This program offers valuable insights into the legal profession and the work our lawyers do. Participants will gain practical skills and first-hand knowledge, have the opportunity to meet our people and build their professional network.
During the JumpStart Program, you will

  • Attend our Open Day in October, where we will present the office and our work, play business games and introduce our team
  • Spend one week at the Firm, shadowing lawyers and trainees, including social and networking opportunities
  • Be considered for a three-month internship in your fourth or fifth year of university
  • Receive reimbursement for meals, accommodation and travel expenses if you are travelling from outside Milan

Who can apply?
You can apply if you meet all of the following criteria:

  • You are studying law and want to pursue a career as a lawyer
  • You are in your third year at an Italian university
  • You identify as being socially mobile, for example: a first-generation university student; attending university on a scholarship; working while attending university to support yourself
